The deep end of the ocean by Jacquelyn Mitchard

Book Number: RC 42874
While on a trip to Chicago with her three young children, a woman briefly
turns away from her three-year-old son in a hotel lobby. The child vanishes,
leaving
his family anguished and splintered. Nine years later, some hope is
rekindled when a familiar-looking boy shows up at their house. Strong
language and
some descriptions of sex. Bestseller.
This was a very emotionally intense book. The author takes a family
tragedy and tells the story from several viewpoints. It made me think that
an event can touch so many lives in so many different ways. I'd give this
one a 4.5 out of 5. I know there was a movie made from this book, but I
don't do movies any more so can't make a comparison between the book and the
movie. For my money, the book has always been better.
Happy Reading,
Carla/TexasRed
